UGC-NET Exam 2026: The application process of the UGC-NET involves filling out the application form, which will be available on the official portal, submitting the documents, and paying the fees. The forms are available from 29 April and valid till 20 May 2026. Applicants should have their master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum percentage of 55% and should be an Indian citizen. The application fee for this examination is INR 1150 for General, INR 600 for OBC/EWS, and INR 325 for SC/ST/PwD category students.  The June session of the UGC-NET Exam 2025 was held from 25th June and held till 29th June 2025.

The UGC-NET Exam 2025 includes the application process where students are instructed to fill out the application form, which was available on the official website from April 16, 2025, and was valid till the last date to apply for the application on May 12, 2025. In an application process, students are required to fill out the application form, where they need to ensure they do not enter the wrong information, submit clear photos of the documents, and pay the application fees. After which, the received application form serves as proof. The students are advised to have their master’s degree and should be Indian citizens to appear for the examination. The application fee for the UGC-NET examination was INR 1150 for general candidates, INR 600 for OBC and EWS students, and INR 325 for other category students.

This examination is conducted specially for the students by NTA who wish to achieve posts like Junior Research Fellowship, Assistant Professor, and PhD admission in any Indian college or University. Students willing to appear for the UGC-NET examination in 2025 should ensure that they are eligible for the examination.

  • The students must hold a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in any discipline (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD) from a UGC-recognized university across the country, from any state.

  • There is an age limit for Junior Research Fellowship where students should be under 30 years of age as of June 1, 2025. Reserved categories and women receive up to 5 years of relaxation, which is a huge advantage for them.

  • To appear for the UGC-NET Exam 2025, students need to be Indian citizens since this exam is only applicable to students who belong to India.

UGC-NET Exam 2025 Application Form

The application process of the UGC-NET 2025 was conducted from 16th April to 12th May 2025. It consists of various processes like filling the application form with the basic details, uploading or attaching the documents of the students, and paying the application fees online through any online payment platform. After which, the application form will be generated.

UGC-NET Exam 2025 Admit Card

The UGC-NET Admit card for 2025 was released a few days before the conduct of the examination on 22nd June 2025. UGC-NET Exam 2025 Answer Key
